Sometimes, giving up feels like the only visitor knocking at my door, relentless and insistent. As a teenage girl navigating life and striving to become the best version of myself, I often overthink and struggle with low self-esteem. At times, even showing up feels difficult.
But Coaches of Influence Foundation (COIF) changed that for me. From the first year in mentorship, I learned the importance of showing up on time and, more importantly, discovered that everyone carries their own unique story. No matter what I am going through, someone else is facing challenges too, yet we can choose not to allow our struggles define us.
During my mentorship journey with COIF, I have met other young people who are very analytical and insightful; people I admire and look forward to hearing them speak. Their perspectives always inspire, motivate and encourage me to be committed to the process. I am grateful that even though I am generally reserved, COIF has created a place where my difference is embraced; which also gives us the freedom and space to be our authentic selves without fear of judgment.
The inclusion and unity in diversity transformed my experience, teaching me that our differences can truly make the difference, and that connecting with others can spark inspiration and growth.
