MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

A. Digital Communications Strategy
● Support the development and implementation of COIF’s digital communications strategy.
● Develop content plans and calendars aligned with organizational and program priorities.
● Recommend digital approaches that increase audience reach, engagement, and visibility.
● Monitor emerging platforms, trends, formats, and communication practices relevant to COIF.

B. Social Media Management
● Manage COIF’s official social media platforms in accordance with approved communications procedures.
● Create, schedule, publish, and monitor content.
● Develop captions, posts, stories, reels, announcements, campaign content, and other digital materials.
● Monitor comments, direct messages, audience feedback, and online engagement.
● Escalate sensitive or reputational matters appropriately.

C. Digital Storytelling
● Identify stories demonstrating COIF’s impact and transform them into compelling digital content.
● Develop participant stories, program highlights, testimonials, and organizational features.
● Work with program teams to identify relevant results, milestones, and human-interest stories.
● Ensure stories remain factual, dignified, ethical, and safeguarding-sensitive.

D. Website Management
● Support regular updating of COIF’s website.
● Upload and organize program information, news, announcements, photographs, videos, reports, and other approved content.
● Review website content for accuracy, relevance, functionality, and consistency.
● Identify outdated content and recommend improvements.

E. Digital Campaigns
● Plan and coordinate digital campaigns for programs, events, awareness initiatives, fundraising, advocacy, and organizational milestones.
● Develop campaign calendars and communication schedules.
● Coordinate digital campaign materials with the Creative Officer where applicable.
● Monitor campaign performance and recommend adjustments.

F. Audience Engagement
● Monitor audience interaction across digital channels.
● Respond to routine questions and messages within approved communication guidelines.
● Encourage constructive online engagement.
● Build relationships with relevant digital communities and stakeholders.

G. Analytics & Reporting
● Track digital communication indicators including reach, engagement, impressions, audience growth, traffic, and video performance.
● Produce monthly or periodic digital performance reports.
● Analyze trends and provide practical recommendations for improving content performance.
● Maintain records of significant digital campaigns and outputs.

H. Digital Content Coordination
● Coordinate with the Creative Officer to ensure that visual assets are produced and delivered according to the content calendar.
● Provide creative briefs, messaging requirements, captions, deadlines, and platform specifications.
● Ensure content is appropriately adapted for different audiences and platforms.

I. Institutional Communications Support
● Support preparation of digital materials for donors, partners, campaigns, reports, events, and organizational announcements.
● Assist with newsletters, email campaigns, digital publications, and online announcements where required.
● Support communications around major organizational events and initiatives.



ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Comply fully with COIF safeguarding, child protection, confidentiality, consent, and communications policies.
● Ensure participant stories, photographs, and personal information are published responsibly.
● Never publish confidential or sensitive information without authorization.
● Ensure digital content does not expose participants or communities to unnecessary risk.
● Report safeguarding or serious reputational concerns through established channels.



QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, Marketing, Public Relations, Mass Communication, Information Technology, or a related field.
● Relevant digital communications or social media certifications are an advantage.
● Demonstrated digital communications portfolio is preferred.
● At least 2 years of relevant experience in digital communications, social media management, digital marketing, communications, content management, or a related field.
● Demonstrable experience managing organizational social media accounts.
● Experience developing digital campaigns and using analytics.
● Experience in nonprofit, development, youth, education, or community-focused communications is an advantage.
